In the Middle East the hamsa is believed to protect you from mischief (and the evil eye). Hamsa means FIVE - hence the palm of the hand with its fingers. This picture is made of 12 variations of the hamsa. All 12 pieces are hand-made of ceramic and hand painted. It is the work of multimedia artist Ella Miron.
